Garden Maintenance

Whether you need hedges trimmed, a lawn mowed, overgrown borders brought under control and maintained, or you would like advice on how to care for the plants that are already in your garden, then please get in touch.

I can provide a one-off helping hand, or regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits. I offer good old regular organic gardening services; chemical-free and friendly to the local wildlife.

I can also suggest a few additions along the way, to help you and the creatures who share your garden.

As the garden changes throughout the year, I can help with seasonal garden care.

Garden Projects

Sometimes a small addition can make a huge difference. There are so many sustainable landscaping ideas that can bring an outside space to life, such as:

  • Creating a new border or two to add more flowers, more Autumn or Spring colour or a meadow

  • Planning and building vegetable or herb beds

  • Planting a tree (every garden needs at least one tree)

  • Adding climbers to a dull fence

  • Planting native plants to bring in the sights and sounds of wildlife

Some child-friendly ideas I can help with are:

  • Planting a ‘picking zone’ where your kids can safely go foraging for fruit like cherries, berries and currants

  • Installing bug hotels, log piles and ponds for the kids to count the insects that arrive!

  • I can also create secluded seating areas using hedges, trees or large borders (for when you want some peace and quiet)

Garden Design

My passion is designing beautiful, wildlife-rich gardens, from redesigning small new builds to large blank spaces.

I love putting together planting plans for borders and I can help you choose the right planting combinations for your site.

Perhaps you have an idea of what you would like from your garden, or you don’t know where to start.

I can meet you for an initial consultation and questionnaire, followed by a survey of the layout and conditions of your garden.

I’ll then put together a design plan to turn your garden into a beautiful, functional, biodiverse space based on your favourite colours, plants and styles and how you would like to use your new garden.

If you are interested in my services then please get in touch by phone by email for an initial chat or visit.

About Me

I’m Richard (I’m the one on the left) and I’ve been gardening for over 20 years. I hold a RHS level 2 certificate in horticulture and I am currently honing my skills even further by studying for a diploma in garden design.

My passion is making a garden as beautiful and enjoyable as possible while making sure that it can be a home to the local wildlife. As a father of two, I know how important it is to have areas in your garden for all the family and I love helping others create something special to share.

There’s nothing better than relaxing in your garden with a cup of tea watching the bees and butterflies enjoy your space with you!

Whether you are looking for a few ideas to liven up a border, make something exciting in an area of your garden, a full garden design or just some simple garden maintenance, then I would love to help.
